FINAL SCHEDULES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE HS OFFICE.
Summer school information packets are available in the high school office. Classes to recover credits are available as well as classes that Caston doesn’t normally schedule. Stop in to learn more about the programs offered.
There will be a SADD meeting next Wednesday the 27th. Members should wear their SADD prom shirts or a black shirt for a yearbook photo.
HS Student Council elections will be next Tuesday during HS lunch. 8th graders will be dismissed from class by the teachers to vote. Seniors do not need to attend unless contacted and told otherwise.
There will be a final canned food drive until the last day of school. You can bring in either canned items or money donations. For every 10 cans you bring in (or $10) your name will be put into a drawing for a free month of tanning at Maxx Tan or a $15 gift card to the place of your choice. If you bring in 20 cans your name will be put in twice! The food will be donated to food pantries in Logansport, Galveston, and Rochester. Drop off the donations in Mrs. Shultz’s room. Seniors: Today is the last day to turn in any selfies that you would like to put in the yearbook.
Cross Country students going to camp this summer need to turn in permission slips ASAP.
Caston will be having $10.00 physicals for all students on May 27 from 9:00am - 8:00pm in the nurses's office. Please pick up a physical form in the HS office. Before a physical will be given, the first page of the form must be completed and all signatures must be completed. Checks should be written to Caston!
If any junior high students have Spring Fling pictures that would be great in the yearbook, please send them to Mrs. Shultz. You can upload your pictures to RePlayit! If you have any questions please see Mrs. Shultz!
There will be no charging in the cafeteria during the month of May.
Beginning today through the 28th all ala carte items will be 50 cents each.
Caston Cheerleaders have the first of the annual landscaping mulch ready for all your spring projects. The mulch is $35/per yard. A yard is 2 farm tractor loader buckets full. Three yards will fill a standard size pick-up bed. The mulch can be loaded after school and on weekends. Some delivery is available. Call for information or to schedule pick-up. Please consider us for your mulch this year! Same mulch as D&R in Logansport, but a least $5.00 less per yard!
Graduation practice will be the morning of May 28th. Look for more details to be announced.
CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) is recruiting loving host families for exchange students who will arrive in our area in August. Juniors: You are required to get a Meningitis booster shot for your senior year. This is required for school. Please remind your parents and make a doctor appointment to get it completed before you attend school next year. Any questions, please see Mrs. Smith, the school nurse.

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association is sponsoring a Youth Leadership Camp for students in the 7th or 8th grade interested in careers in law enforcement. They have 2 sessions this summer. For more information or an application stop by guidance.
7th and 8th graders: Indiana started the 21st Century Scholars in 1990 to ensure that every student can afford a college education. Income-eligible 7th and 8th graders who enroll in the program and fulfill a pledge of good citizenship are guaranteed to receive up to four years of undergraduate tuition at any participating public college or university in Indiana. As a 21st Century Scholar, you can get help finding free tutoring, a mentor and a part-time job, and once you get to college, students who are 21st Century Scholars receive support to finish their college degrees. University of Dayton is offering some Engineering Camps this summer and Duke University has some summer programs as well. If you would like information on either of these stop by guidance.
JV Baseball game versus Taylor this afternoon has been cancelled.
Caston will play Pioneer in the Baseball Sectional. The game will probably be next Thursday night (5/28). We will announce more information as we receive it!
7th grade boys interested in playing football next year should attend a call out meeting today at lunch in Coach Chris Phelps room. Get your lunch quickly and get to his room as soon as you can.
Reminder to 7th and 8th grade Logansport Youth Soccer players - in celebration of your undefeated season there will be a pizza party after school today in the cafeteria.
There will be no softball practice today. The Softball bus will leave from the field tomorrow at 9:15 am sharp!
JH Cross Country call out will be during JH lunch today! Look for Coach Paschen in the cafeteria.
