Here is a short message from the Caston Christian Club:  Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and never giving it!  Make sure you express gratitude and tell others what good they have done in your life.

If anyone has found some military dog tags in the building, please bring them to the high school office.  They have a lot of sentimental value and the owner would appreciate it.

Reminder:  We will not have school tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday for Thanksgiving Break.

Caston Key Club members are wearing purple today because it is epilepsy awareness month. We want to offer our support to those within the school who are diagnosed with epilepsy and bring awareness to the disease.

If anyone is interested in guitar lessons given locally – you can contact Pat Burns @ 574-727-1414.

We will be offering the classroom portion of Driver’s Ed over Christmas Break here at Caston!  The driving portion will be offered in March.  Please stop by the office for the dates, cost, and sign up information.

The Kewanna Library is hosting a Fun Day at the library tomorrow from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.  There will be games, snacks, and fun for all ages.  If you have any questions, please contact the Kewanna Library.

High School Student Council will meet at lunch on Wednesday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 10th, in Mr. Howell’s room.

Key Club is having a competition to see who can gather the most cold weather accessories.  We will be collecting socks, gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets to donate to those in need.  These items can be new or in like-new condition.  Infant to adult sizes will be accepted.  This competition will be different from those in the past.  You will be competing with your entire grade against the other grades (7-12) AND the staff.  Please bring all donations to Mrs. Shultz’s room.  The winners will get FREE DONUTS on December 18th!

There is a donation box in the high school office if you would like to help families for Christmas that need help.  Please donate your money and change to be used for gifts, clothing and food for families in our community that are in need.  If you have any questions, please see Evelyn Byrum.

There will be canned food drive competition for 7th period classes until December 12th.  The 7th period class that brings in the most items will win a Taco Bell party.  Also, a special prize will be given to the 7th period class that brings in the most peanut butter!  If you have any questions, please see or email Cheyenne Meyer.

The Journalism staff needs pictures for the yearbook.  Please upload pictures of your vacations, time spent with friends, or time at the fairs to REPLAY IT.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Shultz.

This year the National Honor Society will be holding an aluminum tab drive--this includes pop tabs as well as soup can pull tabs.  All profits will go to the Ronald McDonald House. Please turn in tabs to your 7th hour class; there will be prizes awarded at the end of each nine weeks for top-collecting classes. This collection will last all year, so bring in your tabs whenever you can! Your 7th hour teacher has more info about the collection competition if you have questions!
